The difference between the cases is that, like you said, with Brandy it developed (and she was able to perform and become popular and successful beforehand) while poor Lela has apparently had this for a long while and she will probably never have a successful career in this industry. I mean, did you see her in that documentary? She wasn't even able to respond to someone asking her a question.
I don't remember if it was a producer or what, but a guy said that she was a singer, not a speaker, so it didn't matter if she had that issue and although that sounded very pretty and poignant when I heard it, I can't agree with it.
It's a shame because I can't remember the last time a new singer blew my mind like this.
