Not thinking about her emotional scars isn't healing, it's burying. It's trying to ignore them, which maybe makes her feel good for now, but the scars are STILL going to be there at the end of the day, and this kinda stuff just gets worse the more it's buried away. Hell, if that's what she's doing, she'll be more likely to crack and kill herself then heal
