From the livedoor wiki profile:
I don't know why they mentioned a brother, but.... make of it what you will, haha.
A lot of that profile seemed kind of fishy, but she probably did kind of like rock as a teen. I wonder if she'll answer a question about it in the future~

There have been loads of places where she said that she liked rock music when she was younger. Maybe Led Zeppelin was something from this one particular one you're mentioning which definitely could be wrong, but I'm quite certain she's talked about rock music in the past. That's why reading that interview about the new album made me really think of an early Ayu.
I think bit by bit Ayu has been trying to incorporate rock music into her work a bit more and more. I mentioned something of it in another thread of this, but that post of mine went completely unnoticed I remember.
2004 we had Because of You, which doesn't say too much I guess, especially since we had albums like Duty before. But about MY STORY, it was one of the albums she was happiest with, that she worked hard for it to be autobiographical almost so it made sense for it to have a rock edge. I thought she really wanted to try rock around 2008; that version of A Song for XX performed in such a rock-style manner. Then GUILTY also had a dark rock edge I think in some places. PCDL had End of the World and Heartplace. Now I'm not saying she doesn't work hard at every performance or anything, but she really really stood out (to me) with those performances.
Of course the break in that is NL. My guess is that she had planned on doing an album like that for a bit, and to do it just after her 10th anniversary would be a perfect time for her to go with it. I guess a hint of rock can be found on some of the tracks, but the rock came back out in Future Classics, which if I believe is where she said had something to do with the 2010 tour (in that they're linked in style or something). Future Classics had a decent amount of rock tracks, even in choice of ballads.
