Well, in Rickrolling, you think you're gonna get one thing, and it ends up being something else. It's kind of a twist, I guess? (Which the PV was full of. Ayu being on set for the music video, disappearing, showing up in that music shop, then appearing for no reason on some street driving next to a group of people, reappearing to dance with her dancers, and then showing up as Laurent...) There's no real equivalent really of a Rickrollesque type thing without the actual song anyway, but it was kind of shown in the end of the PV, so.... eh.
It's not necessarily rickrolling (
but the song, Never Gonna Give You Up does appear in some form, haha) but I'd call it a video full of trolling/awkwardness definitely. The video got a rise out of a lot of people when it first came out, didn't it? Haha.
People : "WHAT IS THIS PV? It's terrible!"
Other people : "It's a parody! Loosen up!"
People : "That can't be a parody! I'm so mad!!!!"
Ayu: "Hahahahah."
I'm curious about what the actual concept of the PV is and what they were aiming for. Just cheesiness overall?
