I think this line: "It's wrong, but won't you shut up?" should be more like 'excuse me/sorry, but won't you shut up?'. Since 'warui' literally means '(to be) wrong' but can also be used in certain situations like 'sorry/excuse me' (kind of like a more informal 'sumimasen').
