It was posted that he was listening to a "new song by Ayu next of next" in the morning and that it was "awesome" but no one really knows if this was a new song as in album tracks or a new song as in the "unreleased" track.

The "next of next" / tsugi no tsugi thing makes me think it's the release that's next after the album comes out.
I'm thinking the song (medium ballad) is finished completely now, and what we'll see for TeamAyu is a snippet of the final product. Max is so sneaky, haha.
