i can't imagine having been friends with ayumi before her career and still being friends with her! actually though, it would seem hard to me because ayumi is insanely rich and successful, so imagine ayumi wants to go shopping for a new outfit and here you are as her old friend and you could never afford the lifestyle ayumi has. its hard to hang out with people outside of your financial circumstances.
from what you've posted i kind of imagine she's the type who has old friends and they probably only get together every few months. i don't know how she would have time to do a lot more.
