Who are Girls' Generation?

Girls' Generation (소녀시대, 少女時代) is a Korean pop girl group formed by SM Entertainment. They were described as the female Super Junior by SM Entertainment, and are best known for their hit 2009 songs "Gee" and "Sowoneul Malhaebwa (Genie)". Domestically they are known as "So Nyuh Shi Dae" or by the acronym "SNSD", which translated means "The Era of Girls".
