I'm actually a bit surprised with the sales. I've very realistic generally when it comes to how much she's going to sell, but I honestly thought RnRC would sell more than NEXT LEVEL.
I don't usually think the most recent album will surpass the one prior, but this just seemed like a more "Japanese-friendly" CD to me, if that makes any sense. I mean that I think the Japanese would like this CD more than NEXT LEVEL. It had more ballad, more super-pop songs, and wasn't a big leap in style for Ayu. Plus, it had superb PVs (better than NEXT LEVELs), was right before a tour, and had a very Lady Gaga-esk song/video to it (and we know how "in" she is right now).
Well, whatevs. I stopped caring about artists' sales years ago.
