Honestly, I'm surprised there aren't more accidents than there are! Most streets in Japan are so narrow that there are always people/bikers right in the middle of the street and they generally don't even pay attention to the cars that are coming. I seriously don't even want to get my license here because you always have to be on the lookout. Apparently this happened at an intersection with no stop light, so I can imagine it happening easily. Matsujun's was because of icey roads and no one was injured, so I think that was treated more lightly. Now though, Arashi isn't allowed to drive for the rest of the year because of these accidents. I always liked that they drove themselves though - shows that they are more humble than many other stars.
btw, both accidents happened close to where I live. But now because of the driving ban, I have no hope of meeting an Arashi member because they hit me with their car.
