EDIT: According to that blog the new song is a ballad. Apparently, at the end the key changes '2 steps/levels' and you can't help but get excited.
And it has a '6/8 metre'. I have no clue if that's how you call it in English, but it looks like this:
6/8 is the time signature of the song. It's a compound measure, usually used in Jazz, rock or country.
