Also, Japanese companies (not just the music companies, but most if not all traditionally Japanese companies) tend not to drop/fire people once they hire them, so I suppose it's similar in the music industry (unless a big scandal happens and people are forced to resign.) My uncle works in Tokyo and they have to go through a really long interview process before companies hire anybody because after that's done, they usually don't lose their jobs. It's the American style companies that hire and fire people really fast.
