I think they would have been angrier if the news was released after crossroad release, because then it was clearly only a marketing move by Avex to include Jaejoong in blossom.
I understand why some fans would cancel their crossroad copy. Fans can only show they disapprove of something by boycotting (not buying anything of the label anymore). Korean fans did that to SME when the news of the lawsuit was released, I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese fans would follow the same example.
To me it's a more valid reason to cancel something, instead of cancelling just because you don't like a cover. But that's my opinion.
See it as something good that the news was released before Ayu's release, because now fans are only blaming Avex, not Ayu. Ayu has shown support towards them during a-nation twice, fans won't forget that either.
I don't think Japanese fans are as brazen or loyal as Korean fans, so I dont think there will be a huge boycott...

I also would like to say that I'm getting tired of hearing that Tohoshinki or JYJ are having contract issues, and then they blame it on the company. There is only one constant in all of these contract issues, and of course we all know what that is.

I completely agree with what Avex has done with the current information available. I would want to drop the three for being associated with a company that is rumored to have criminal ties, because it hurts the image of my company. I think ANYONE would do that, not just Avex. I think the JYJ people need to look at what they are doing. And there is most DEFINITELY a clause in the contract for termination of the contract immediately if the image of the company is hurt by an action taken by the artist, or for failing to disclose the true nature of the company they are dealing with.

Next, I think that the comments JYJ made were inappropriate, it is in bad taste to disclose disputes in your contract to the public. If you have a problem with the company, do not disclose private matters to the public. They have done this twice, once with SM, and now alledging Avex of the same thing, and frankly it's unprofessional. The criminal ties comment was already publicly known, and Avex was not the first to disclose that, and they were just reacting to the news. JYJ made poor choices, and now every Avex artist has to suffer.

That said, I don't think this will suffer the crossroad sales, because Ayu has said that there is no replacement for Jejung, and that he must be in the blossom PV. The fans know Ayu has supported them, and they will support her. If they don't, then they are just as immature as JYJ.

Finally, I'd like to post a comment from Max Matsuura's twitter.

I've been told that if it is such a cruel company, Avex's artists will all be quitting by now. That's also what I say. It's a good company, though... But it's a company that can't speak well... This time too, in reality the ones who will be hurt the most are...[implying JYJ].
