Now that L has broken the record, I'd like the singles releases to be less "safe weeks" and more whenever... I think if Ayu got #2 with a single now, it would probably do more good than harm. It would remove a lot of the excuses people have - e.g. "too quick", "just a safe song"... and would force people to evaluate really why they dislike a song Ayu releases. Yeah, a lot of people wouldn't be able to cope with the hate that would come with it, comments that devalue the success Ayu has currently, but it would certainly cause people to re-evaluate their relationship with Ayu and her music.
Of course, I'm not saying I don't want her to get #1, I'd just like to see what her getting #2 with a single does to the fanbase. ;p Is that a little bit of a wish for chaos?
That was sligtly off topic. However, I am shocked at how little L has sold in comparison to crossroad. I believe atleast one TV performance of Virgin Road would have helped sales both digitally and physically.
