I get what you mean, it's just that you can't really use the word "deserve" when talking about music. : P
Most music these days might not "deserve" to hit no. 1, but I don't mind if it does, as long as there's also good music to listen to.
It's a bit silly to discuss this, though, since it's your opinion : P. I can see where you're coming from, though
