I can totally relate to you
So I go to my school's Japanese club, expecting people to totally know the J-pop music stuff [mainstream]..and all of the people are just anime fans! and only listen to "anime music".. >_< -disappointment- and I don't watch anime or read manga either so i have nothing to say about the topic. I only have a couple friends who actually listen to the non-anime music. x_x BUT all of them are anime/manga fans.
oh, and j-rock seems to be more popular..-still unfamiliar-
i dunno, I understand..but at least i'm not alone
