I remember I downloaded FFX-2 soundtrack on my computer back in 2004. I thought real Emotion and 1000 no kotoba would be in english but instead I got japanese versions. I was disappointed and didn't really care who the singer was at first. "Okay, this has to be a man, no woman sings so low" was the first impression. For some reason I ended up listening to those versions quite often, and then even sing along.
Then I forgot Kuu completely (which is sad and I also got obsessed with Hikki), and then in 2006 I was surfing on wikipedia if I remember correctly. I was bored and read some articles. Kuu was mentioned in some j-pop artist article (I think it was something about Ayu since I was listening to her quite a lot at the time). I read that Kuu wasn't a successful one before the year 2005 and lolled so hard (I guess I was quite a ayu stan back then lol), but then I somehow found myself from youtube and listening to Butterfly. o.O I didn't feel interested. To me this song sounded so boring and stupid, and even the PV was annoying. Then I heard you and Promise. I cried when I watched you PV. Promise made it even worse and I ended up downloading her discography. It was a few weeks before Black Cherry came out. And that album made me a crazy fan. :'D And I got a picture in my mind that I also saw Trust Your Love, real Emotion and Crazy 4 U PVs while discovering Kuu.
Everything she released after Black Cherry made me love her even more, and eventually I completely forgot Ayu for a year and half I think. I gotta confess that I don't feel bad about it. Now I feel like I'm totally myself (meaning I'm dirty minded) and it's all thanks to our sexy queen Kuuchie sweetie~
