I did not sa ythat as an excuse for Ayu or other Japanese people. It's just that you have to understand the cultural differences (and the fact that you can't change them overnight, no matter how much you wish you could) when approaching these subjects. There is a lot less stigma over there and thus most people probably don't care about where their fur comes from.
