^^the thing is.. boybands and girlgroups release catchy songs just to be recognized. korea likes catchy songs. they arent gonna look at you if you release a ballad (though there are some exeptions). a mini or full album almost always exist of the main-song, which is almost always catchy and dancable, and then there are some other songs on it that showcase their real vocal talent, and these idols can SING!!! seriously, some of these girls/boys have amaaaaazing voices and its kinda a shame that they cant really show it to the public
