She sings about life, and how she cannot live her life without such things. The lyrics are really outstanding, I think. The part where she says "life without compromises would be meaningless" is true. We go through life by facing difficulties and learning from them. It also reinforces her belief that we must experience things during our lives, like how she always says even if she could find out her future, she doesn't want to know because it would make life boring. It's so true, even if it is our wish to know what the future holds sometimes... "you're damaged and you're tattered, that's how you know strength" even if your life is filled with adversity and difficulties, that's how you know you're alive and it makes you stronger. I just really love these lyrics, it has such a good view on life.

As far as the other components of the song, I have no complaints. I love the raw emotion in her voice, I love the beat of the song and the arrangement is awessome. It seems difficult to classify this song into a genre because it seems to incorporate many different influences. I really can't wait to hear this song in better quality so I can clearly hear the different instruments and variations in the arrangement.

If this song is a preview of the quality of the level of the album, I am very excited!!!
once again I agree with everything you said. I am so glad she didn't go the generic route and just release a typical love song like a lot of artists will be doing this winter. this song is going to sound so amazing in HQ.
