Thats what I though at first too, when I saw the short ver. of Love Song. You can find the post I made about
here the song I compared the video to was Nickelback's Someday. Anyways on to my interpretations.
After seeing the full PV for Love Song it would fit to say that Virgin Road -> Love Song -> Last Angel.
Virgin Road is their past lives where they got married and robbed banks yet they made it out of it alive and happy. Were as in Love song they have been reborn and their present life is anything but happy endings. It fits into the belief that if you were a bad person in your pass life you will have to pay for it in your next (I guess an easy way to call it would be Karma).
I'll start with
Last Angel before I explain love song because it holds the back story. Ayu is dead you see people gather around her while her spirit is in the background singing. The we start to see her memories, like how your life passes right before your eyes before you die, which gives us the back story or some of it.
We see flashbacks of her and Mannie together as well as Mannie and some other girl. Notice that in the memories her hair was curly and it isn't straight like in Love Song. This represents a different time.
My assumption is that Ayu found out Mannie was cheating on her so she left him. So she left and the person chasing her is Mannie trying to explain and get her back.
The reason I think it's Mannie who's following her is because although you can't see him the silhouette looks like Mannie such as the shadow at 3:24. You she the person's shadow has their hair tied up like Mannie does in most of their videos.
In the end Ayu is dead and we see Mannie dressing as he was in Virgin Road helping Ayu up, who is also wearing the Virgin Road outfit. We can assume they are going to heaven now because they paid for their crimes in their past lives in this one. Thats why they are dress in the Virgin Road attire because this was the happiest time for the both of them their past lives. In order for him to be a spirit as well means that he is dead which goes back of my theory of him already being dead in Love Song.
Love Song you see Ayu packing to leave and in the video I would assume that somehow she found out Mannie was dead.
Although we can see Mannie she looks right pass him. He doesn't have a reflection in most of the video except in the cab mirror (which is slightly confusing) until the driver adjust it and he disappear as if his reflection was never there to begin with. He also doesn't make any splashes in the puddles and doesn't show up in the glass of the shops.
At first I wasn't sure how the stalker scene ended but now after writing this and rereading my interpretations. I think that he caught up to her and manage to applogize to her and they got back together.
So after fighting and breaking up because he was cheating they got back together, but it still doesn't give them a happily ever after because after they get back together something happens and he dies.
From the trauma of finding out he's dead she starts hallucinating when she see the robbers as Mannie and Her, which can also represent their past lives as robbers and their crime. This is where she gets caught in the crossfire between the robbers and the police.
This all goes back to the karma thing, they committed crimes in their past and in their present they are face with various obstacles and strains on their relationship. In the end they can finally be happy and at peace after they died because now they can start over with a clean slate.
The only thing that doesn't fit is how did Mannie die?
