I was reading an article today that was talking about the same thing and it pointed out that a lot of music sales today are by children, tweens, teenagers, etc. so a lot of music today is geared towards that demographic so it will sell and make a lot of money. That's why a really ****** song by like Nickelback or Justin Bieber will be super popular and a song by some genius artist will be virtually unknown by most people.
