This is such a myth. And even if not, it's nothing more than an opinion for sure. I personally like many of her covers. Her older single covers don't really do it for me, but from Colors onward I've liked pretty much every cover of her (not counting her Utada career, though the Exodus UK shoot was brilliant).

She has some of the best covers I've ever seen in pop, like Deep River, Sakura Drops and Ultra Blue. She might have a bad one every now and then (Prisoner of Love, or Boku wa Kuma or something), but she's had some great covers so to say she's "known for never having amazing covers" is really kind of wrong.

Damn, I'm hard-core stan. Sorry for being all serious about it.
