From what I gathered, I think AyuReady was successful because of how Ayu presented herself on the show. She didn't appear to be a stiff host, but instead, took part in events and had perhaps more fun being on the show than the actual guests. Some people may have disliked the show, but I think it was more of an extension of Ayu as a person, rather than "another thing". Add to that with the dedication she puts in her work, whether it's her music, or just not giving up when things look bleak (Dome Tour, her ear infection, A BEST vs. Distance, etc) and it's no wonder that she does so well!
