Actually... he's not complimenting her at all. He's saying "yeah, right" in a sarcastic voice, and knocking the tape/CD down before leaving the room. Essentially he's rejecting all the lies that the song is telling itself. The abrupt ending on the single version serves the same purpose -- the song is cutting itself off from its own deception.

I see someone answered that already though -- whoops! That's one of the reasons I love monochrome so much. Someone also mentioned that LOVEppears feels like an oddly cold album, and I have to agree. Even though the music can be wonderfully upbeat, the lyrics on the album as a whole have always struck me as rather poignant and pained. It's like the Ayu on this album is keeping herself locked away from something, which makes the title and implication of it (Love appearing) rather contradictory and fascinating -- but now I'm rambling.

I'm so glad she's singing it on this tour! It's a lovely song.
