Ayu is my favorite artist (along with Lady Gaga) because I find her to be unique, distinct, fun, & heartfelt. I feel like she can't really be confused with any other artist because her style is so much different from other artists (Japan namely, obviously you're not gonna confuse her with someone outside of Japan lol). Her music takes you on this adventure...all her songs have
so much imagination in them. Her lyrics are beautiful & always have something either true-to-life or touching to say. I especially love some of her abstract lyrics she uses.
Also, Ayu does pretty much whatever she wants which gives us quite a variety of styles to listen to. I really feel like no two albums are completely alike; all of them have their own unique sound to them. She has a versatile discography, yet she never really manages to disappoint me whenever she tries something new (unlike a lot of artists out there).
One other thing I love about Ayu is that she has such a sweet voice that I can never get tired of. It has this strained, raw quality to it that I just find to be so beautiful. & I love to listen to her discography & witness how her voice changed so much over the years; it's miraculous. It's no surprise though of course...with all those lives & tours she's done. Ayu's had her rough times, but she's still growing as both a singer & a performer

So all in all, I just feel that Ayu is one of a kind. It's rare for me to find someone who I absolutely adore & who I can't get enough of...& who would've thought I would discover a Japanese artist to be one of my most favorite? Either way, Ayu is just awesome & I don't seem me ever really falling out of fandom any time soon that's for sure.
