No one knows the exact reason why she suddenly stopped appearing on Utaban. But yes, Utaban (with all of their guests) had a very sharp type of humor and I would think if someone was fragile emotionally then they might not be able to take being a guest on that show.
She later appeared on SmapxSmap though with Nakai, so obviously it wasn't a problem that she had with him.

She doesn't so much now, but back around her first couple of albums she spoke very slow and with a fake cutesy kind of voice. Honestly, everything about her speech then
did make her sound stupid, including her speech pattern and it was obvious that it was a 'put on'. That was kind of part of her "image" back then. It was an easy target for Utaban to pick on.
The clip people are referring to is one in which Ishibashi says that her friends must be so annoyed by her if this is how she actually talks in "real life." If he were on the phone with her, he would want to punch her for talking so slow. That was basically the gist of it.
I also tend to think that it was something that happened behind the scenes as well since everyone knows what they are signing up for when they go on Utaban.
