I'll take back the part about her being shallow...most of it anyways. I mean, of course, it still stuns me that people can be spending so much money on hand bags when they know that there are millions of Africans living on 25 cents a day. Has anyone ever seen that Rich Girls episode where Ally Hilfiger and her friend are just DYING to buy 400 dollar Steve Madden shoes, when just five minutes earlier they had heard that those 400 dollars can save one life? I guess just imagining Ayu like that makes me sick to my stomach.
But it's true that everyone does it. I'm sure even I do it. the world is just this way. Makes me so sad.
It's easy to say that when you are looking at someone in the spotlight, I think. I mean, you think "she has a lot of money, she should be spending it on saving other people!" But... who says she has to do that? It's her money, she earns it her way, and no one has the right to tell her what to do with it. And you are going on the assumption that she doesn't donate money and such to people less fortunate than her. Just because she buys an expensive bag, it doesn't mean that she's pissing all of her money away and not donating some to the poor. How do you know she doesn't? Maybe she does it privately... A truely kind person would not need anything in return for their actions, including recognition. As well as that, why does she have to donate her money to countries in the third world? Do YOU? If you do, that's great, but it's not fair to tell other people what they should or should not do, and then judge them for their decisions.
