The system worked that if someone was nominated twice or more to be a forum helper, then they would be promoted as sorts to being a mod. But I think the staff has enough mods for now and only need the extra help in terms of helpers.
And yes; pommy48, ayumisrael and myself were all nominated for this, the thread Pommy has linked has been up since April.
