We finally have a LIVE STYLE 2011 tour review!!!...
Quote:
The first full report is up on Namie Style. I translated the main bits and added the reviewer ratings:
1. NAKED: spotlights flashing the stage, intro of NAKED with the spotlight focusing on each dancer, Namie starts singing as a big chess piece comes out from the center of the stage, audience shocked to realise she's opening with a new song. Namie is wearing the Checkmate/make it happen outfit with a mature-looking ponytail. Same choreography as the PV. *****
2. BAD HABIT: new choreography (didn't leave much of an impression to the reviewer). **
3. HELLO: new choreography, Namie and her dancers moves to the mini stage and take a "circle" formation. ***
4. FAST CAR: big chandeliers added to the set (similar to the ones in make it happen), same choreography as last tour. ***
5. make it happen: she sings the whole song solo, even the intro and does the choreography of the PV (the reviewer describes it as cute so I assume she's sitting). During the chorus, the spotlight flashes the audience during the "hey" and "woo" bits and when Namie saw the audience singing along to them, she smiled. (the reviewer really liked that one) *****
6. COPY THAT: same choreography (more or less), female dancers introduction, Namie disappears from the stage then comes back for the second half of the song. ***
7. WHAT A FEELING: same choreography done at the front of the mini stage/catwalk. The audience was really into it. "Club" like mix of the song. ****
8. #1: Namie showed off her singing skill on a song hard to do live because it's kind of monotonous (according to the reviewer...). ***
9. Shut Up: looked more pissed off while singing it than last time. **
10. Top Secret: choreography looked the same as usual. The "clock" dance was very powerful and cool looking. ***
11. Tempest: a long film is shown before the song starts. New outfit. She performs on a big tiara on the mini stage with smoke giving the performance a magical feel. Singing was brilliant and she looked like a goddess. *****
12. Get Myself Back: she points her microphone to the audience during the "ohoo ohoo" bits. ***
13. Uh Uh: black and white outfit. New dance routine. Audience very into it (reviewer very surprised she performed it). ***
14. Rock Steady: same dance routine but didn't shout like she did on the BEST FICTION tour. Very well received by the audience as well. ***
15. Defend Love: very different from the Past Future tour performance. Amazing line dance on the catwalk (reviewer loved it and was very surprised she performed it again) *****
16. Break It: the tension rises with the opening, same dance routine (more or less) but this time the "wave" formation from the PV was more striking (reviewer thought the lyrics was very fitting to the earthquake disaster too). ****
17. Wonder Woman: performed at the front of the mini stage/catwalk again. Like she was shouting to the audience. Probably the song that had the audience in high spirits the most. *****
18. Hide & Seek: new outfit and very cute blond bob who had the audience screaming. Same dance routine with the dancers carrying flags. ****
19. Queen of Hip-Pop: same dance routine with male dancers introduction half through it. ***
20. ROCK U: same as Past Future tour. Had the audience go wild. ****
21. HIGHER: new song. During the intro, everyone was like "what's this song?". (reviewer doesn't remember much of the song but thought it was cool). ****
22. UNUSUAL: very rapid moves during the dance parts (like the ones from the BLACK DIAMOND performance) that gave the reviewer goose bumps. (this is the performance that left the best impression on the reviewer) *****
Encore: "Checkmate!" appears on the screen and the arena lights up. Audience calls back Namie.
23. Fight Together: feel good song that had the audience throwing their hands up in the air. *****
24: New song (titled "Arigatou" or "Thank you"?): screen shows the Earth and then a close up on Japan. Perfect "reconstruction" song with a "thank you for staying together during hard times" message. Directed to the earthquake and tsunami victims. Screen shows the sun rising from the Touhoku region. *****
As usual, Namie only words were "thank you for (coming) today and come back next time!"
