It takes me a second read to understand what you said (I dun study music lol). But I guess you're right. I can't remember what beloved sounds like (it's so forgettable), so can't comment on it. The piano opening of Why... is quite similar to JUJU's song (Ashita ga Kurunara), of course the beats are different. For the verse and chorus, I can't recall similarities with other songs, but the melody sounds familiar.
Anywayz, what attracts me tho is ayu's voice in Why. Her vocal sounds different than her recent stuff, and I love her vocal in Why.
