I love how even the progression of the melody is incredibly desperate. At NO point a line begins on the first beat. It's always somewhere in the middle and mixes note lenghts in a weird way. A very desperate feeling is coming from the timing of the melody. Most melodies have the majority of the lines begin and end on a beat.
This song is probably her biggest masterpiece since...possibly forgiveness to me.
