What scandals? I can't remember that Ayu ever had any scandals.
I'm not from Singapore, but I can understand why you're angry. I mean, it's okay if you fall out of love with an artist, but when people stop listening to an artist, because he/she is "too old" or "not popular" anymore, is just crazy.
I love Ayu because she works hard and always puts her heart and soul into her music and not because of her age or anything.
@JPop vs. KPop: Jeez, I really have ENOUGH of these discussions.

There are people who like JPop, others like KPop and some like both.
Everybody has a different taste when it comes to music and it's really so useless to quarrel over it!
My personal opinion on this topic is that JPop is still much more popular than KPop (in Japan!). It's fact that KPop-artists only come to Japan for the money, which I find really sad. Most of them don't even take the time and effort to learn the language. There are exceptions - of course - like Tohoshinki. They at least had the courtesy to learn the language and they speak it really well too.
But I would never start dissing KPop or KPop-fans because of my opinion.
