Actually, I feel that the PV does go really well with the lyrics in Duty. Duty's lyrics sing about people searching for "something" which they have in them all along, and how she as a diva has lost that "something" and that she trusts "you" will be able to find it for her. At least that's how I interpret the lyrics. But I find that it really fits the PV's storyline, like how ayu is shown as a diva in the beginning, then after her reflection morphs into the monster, she becomes the nun trapped and awaiting rescue. The dark angels and gothic setting also fits the song's dark mood.
Did a translation of the lyrics, maybe the PV will make more sense when watched together with lyrics.

The thing which everyone desires and is searching for,
“it” exists sometime in the future.
You and I, that’s what we believe.
But, how many people actually realize
that “it” may actually exist in the past?
I can’t even guess
Yes, I saw the end of an era
With my own eyes
But I didn’t want to know
That it will be my turn next
Yes, I’ll try to say it a little more plainly
“It” just helps us to connect
And line up our memories
But if so, that means that you and I,
we all already have “it”?
Please understand that
Yes, I saw the end of an era
With my own eyes
And, in truth, I already know
That it will be my turn next
You will find “it”, because you are you
You will find “it”, because you are you
I believe it, I’ll bet on it
Yes, I saw the end of an era
With my own eyes
But I didn’t want to know
That it will be my turn next
