I think to a certain viewpoint you can definitely argue that "you are what you listen", although that really challenges whether the stereotypes that surround people that listen to different things are really true. For example, people who are not asian who listen to asian music...well, I've had to semi-defend myself at times when people have scrolled through my iPod. But for people who look at the message as well as the music, I'd say it'd be pretty hard to listen to a song that blared out something you don't agree with, even if it was surrounded by pretty music.

But you can only go so far into it..I mean, I listen a lot to Ayu, and she *mostly* sings about love, and loss, and other emotional things. But I don't necessarily agree with all the messages of her songs. So, what I'm taking from what you're saying is, that if I read the lyrics or understand the messages of the songs you listen to, I'll probably get a better understanding of who you are, and what your morals/opinions are on certain subjects..is that right?

I think for the most part, you can say you can judge someone's personality based on their music tastes. But even the most depressed person can still enjoy the happiest, most bouncy K-Pop ever, right? I think you can only go so far with it.

Sorry if my ramblings made no sense..it's been a long night.
