Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai was recently in Shanghai, China, to promote her new book Living Slim. She also shared her dieting journey at the event, which attracted a huge turnout.

Decked in a silk hat and a black-and-white mini dress, Jolin accidentally exposed her underwear when she sat down. She realised her wardrobe malfunction after the media pointed it out to her.

Commenting on her book, Jolin expressed that she had taken a long time to compile the contents of the book and that being an author was a great risk and challenge for her.

The pop princess said that Living Slim consisted of the various techniques and tips she had used to slim down throughout the years. The book also included a prologue written by good friend Shu Qi.

Jolin revealed that she had tried various dieting methods, including having only one meal per day and skipping meals entirely.

The singer had even tried wrapping her fingers with cellophane tape.

"I really regret using extreme measures to lose weight. I was even on the verge of becoming anorexic. I hope people will not be like me," she said.

It had been a tough dieting journey for Jolin, who finally shed her baby fat from her debut days. When asked if she regretted joining showbiz, the singer denied so immediately.

Jolin also urged her female fans to diet the right way and claimed that 'living slim' is a lifetime of work, which cannot be achieved in a just a few months.
