It's filled with so many crap repetitive, irritating hooks and as a whole it just sounds to me like the epitome of why I haven't liked almost all mainstream American music since 2009 or so.
The songs I DO like are: Roc Me Out, Farewell, We All Want Love, Drunk On Love, and Red Lipstick (because it reminds me of Rated R).

I understand what you mean, but I just take it for what it is:
Pop music. Mainstream, commercial, even hackneyed pop music. It is what it is
When I want to tune into my psyche I listen to M83, The Radio Dept., or something with more substance, i.e not Rihanna, Katy, fill-in-essentially-any-pop-act-here. When I want to listen to something fun and dancey and lighthearted, I turn to pop. The truth is, there was never an era of brilliance to pop music- it's always been the same crap recycled and rebranded. In the end, pop music is all about selling and making money, and this is what makes money. IDK, it's just my view of it and how I accept it.
