Ayu always was connected to Avex and the other way round. Though it's better for a (big) company like Avex (and its artists) not to be dependent on one artist, but to divide the income on several shoulders.
This whole topic with Ayu being forced to release certain stuff etc.would never have happened if she wasn't their cash cow back then.
