I'm not entirely sure why Leslie went with such a odd theme with the "SUPER" books but basically for the male ones (the female subjects like LADY GAGA, ANNA WINTOUR, and AYU are just fashionable) in order to 'support Japan', Leslie created the "SUPER NUDE" photobooks which are basically a bunch of male models and singers in various states of undress. It's not just Mannie's that's like this.
This really is not anything new for Leslie though, whenever he photographs men for his photobooks, 99.9% of the time they are either falling out of their outfits (that tend to also be ripped to shreds) or are completely naked. I guess he's known for being more of an 'erotic photographer' when it comes to male subjects?
Just compare the images of women and the images of men in this SUPER STARS spread:
