All year she was answering fans saying he would come to a concert, they just couldn't decide a date for it. Then when he tweeted and she replied calling him an idiot in japanese it got more obvious. June was the most obvious, her in Bali while he was at multiple birthday parties in LA. But then she continued to wear the rings and tweet him back occasionally so no one gave it a second thought.

I think I remember Ayu calling Mannie an idiot, because I found it cute. She was responding to him saying "I'm learning Japanese". She wrote "Bakane~". It was a joke.
