my first songs were...it was A Clips Vol.2 DVD of a friend. so first songs were vogue - Far away - SEASONS trilogy. I've never listened to jpop before so I felt a bit awkward. but I didn't think it was bad/unflattering/disguisting whatever. I loved the PVs and I thought her to be so tiny/petite and cute/beautiful. then it was SURREAL and I didn't really pay attention to the vocie but THE PV WAS AEFSKRUFHASHKAFUHK for me
. but by the end of DVD, there was Dearest (2 versions, regular and acoustic) and that's where I fell in love with Ayu
I thought her voice was so beautiful and went so good with a flow of the song, I thought the song was amazing although I knew nothing about the lyrics lol
but then I watched a bit of other Ayu stuff aka concerts and understood, that, well, she did need some training for 2000 Concerts. but I loved DOME 2001 voice very much.
