I only think they upgraded, because it was so fast, canīt tell for sure. (but for my RnRC + LS Box they also upgraded to EMS for free, because I ordered when the links came up)
YesAsia never asked me to pay more for shipping, nor with paypal as payment method neither with Credit card. And no I didnīt have to pay tax for the box. Only my CDL Goodies were held by custom (it was the first package in 8 years that I had to pay tax for xD) but as I live in Germany I get all the tax back in YA credits^^
I always use standart shipping, itīs normaly very slow but i am fine with it^^
