So, this guy coached 3 at least girls that sing out of their ranges, as Hikki also loves doing that @_@. Still, someone whose profession is set around singing should take vocal lessons constantly for their whole career, it's not something u do dor a few months and them just let it go...

And since last year she is using proper technique... as far as singing on a healthy way goes, she never did it as good before.
But I agree, Hikki sings better than most j-artists live... or at least she did on the past decade, the new generation of idols has a lot of strong live vocalists (Kana Nishino always surprises me)... It seens like Japan is not the land of crappy pop singers anymore xD
