^you should check out Faye Wong!

calm calm calm~ she's a chinese artist. I think my favorite album is Jiang Ai.

I was hooked on her music for a while, cause it was the only thing I could do homework to lol

reason I checked out back in 2009, which btw is like a godly year for Kpop fans idek for me the idols domination is wayyy too much

anyway the few I still like is e.via ( she is a rapper), Ivy and After School, their Japanese material tbh

maybe I am the only one but my standards are rock bottom for Namie's new album, I hope the 4 tracks are good so badly
these singles this era vary from painfully generic to really good, usually Namie is spot on but this era feels like she was overly commercial and rushed (yah I know its been like 2 years anyway) maybe to please avex or keep her peak
I've actually liked SNSD lately...but less because of the music and more because I love the girls.

In any case, I get why the idol music is popular, but tbh snsd is the only one that has been able to hold my attention so far. And I think it's mostly because I feel like I know the girls better and I know they're talented people who work really hard.

The songs are catchy though and they have a lot of feel good songs, which is something I'm usually in the mood for a lot. Their biggest songs seem to be the ones I like the most. The rest of the albums are all filler for me for the most part.

I don't have any interest at all to get into other groups who make this type of music, because even with all my love for the girls, I can't take too much lol

Anyways, last kpop besides snsd I listened to was...Sunny Hill, T-ARA, and um some others...and meh. I didn't get to listen to Last Fantasy yet though.

I am also meh on Namie's new album. But since I didn't really like Past < Future or any of the single songs besides YEAH-OH, I didn't have high expectations to begin with.
