Yes, I agree, I wouldn't have said anything, if it happened to me personally. But with how public this all is, she sort of has an obligation to address it, because her personal life and work are pretty intertwined, and if she said nothing, many fans/paparazzi/whatever would begin to speculate more and more. Avex may have even advised her to address it, who knows.
I can only hope that she somehow privately made sure it was actually posted by Mannie before she commented, but then, that's just a hope.
