Maybe when she started she was more of a product of Avex, because they were the ones that controlled her image, and she just wanted to sing, and then she found what artist she wanted to be with her sexy image. I think more as the years have come on, she has expressed herself more as the artist she wants to be, instead of just doing what would sell. I think if she was just a product of Avex, she wouldn't be doing what she wants to do, Avex would just make her follow the trends to sell.
Tbh...Apart from the beginning when she started, where she just wanted to sing so Avex controlled her image, I don't think Kuu has ever been just a product of Avex. She has always done what she wanted to do, even in her secret era days, she got a lot of controversy for being too sexual, but she still did it and Avex let her do it, because she wanted to be sexy. And that's how it's been over all the years in her career to me.
