Daybreak is a ballad. I don't think I'd call progress a ballad though. It's too fast-paced. I'd say it's a Free&Easy, which is basically like if a ballad got knocked up by a rock song but thinks the baby's daddy is an electronic orchestra.
I agree about meaning of Love. I think Tetsuya has done MUCH, MUCH better. Anyway, back on topic!
