I consider it a bad week in sales, nothing (for singles) broke 100K... if the final sales are right, with Kuu at 55K nothing even broke 60K... thats a bad week when you have other artist who can do more in sales. you said it yourself with Nana Mizuki. Namie's Sit Stay... did 77K and ayumi's last single L did 70K just to name two other female artist.
it is not a reflection on Kuu, its a reflection on the week

Ayu's last single was in 2010. Times have changed since and then and Ayu's album sales have been cut in half since then. Whose to say if Ayu released a single now she would do the same numbers? I really doubt she would and even if she did her numbers were nothing special either and were released in even deader weeks than this one. I agree with Nana and Namie but Ayu is not this huge seller either yet if she got #1 with the same numbers I'm not so sure you'd be saying the same thing.
It's funny to me when Kuu actually does get a #1 it's "oh it was a dead week" and when she gets #6 or whatever she's "flopping." Some people just never stop sigh.....
