She certainly has the European look but her music is not western-friendly. Westerners for the most part do not react well to foreign things, even if they are some-what western.

i think
Koda Kumi had the best cards to be succesful in western music...
her musical style is more western as
ayu's...
(think of
Lollipop, VIP, POP DIVA etc)
they said anything Party Queen is worldclass... forget it...
only a few songs on this album could be succesful (
NaNaNa, Shake It <3)
but the most important thing would be...
they all have to sing in english!
