"先日高校サッカーの予選試合を実際に観戦させてもらいました。
3年生は負けたら引退の試合だそうで、最後の最後まであきらめないでボールを追いかけるひたむき な姿に
本当に心を打たれました。グランドに立つ選手だけでなく、監督やマネージャー、試合の応援に集まった同級生 たち、
そんな選手の努力を間近で見てきた人たちみんながそのグランドに想いを込めている熱さを強く感 じたので、
応援してきたみんなの目線で曲が書けたらいいなと思いました。"

about the song itself
"試合終了のホイッスルと同時にうなだれて号泣する敗戦の選手を見て「これで終わり」じゃなくて
「ここからがスタートなんだ」って伝えたいと思いました。勝ち負けに関係なく、高校生活という限られた期間 に、
みんながひとつの目標に向かって頑張ってきた時間がかけがえのないもので、試合には負けたかも しれないけど
大切な宝物を手に入れたんだからって。

誇りを持って「これからまた新しい一歩を踏み出そう」って気持ちになれるような、背中を押すような曲になっ て
くれたらいいなと思います。"
